Balancing Life

As a mom of two little boys my creative hours are limited to a few hours, at the most, usually late at night. I think the hardest part adjusting to parenthood is just how much of your time is redirected towards your children. If you’re not playing with them or watching them or chasing after them you are cleaning or cooking or maintaining the house.

I know this will balance out and as they get older it will get easier. I believe if I had more time in the day I could build quite a successful art collection and name for myself. At the same time I don’t want to miss anything motherhood has to offer and watching them grow and develop will always be my biggest joy in life.

I will continue to work late at night and I know that sooner or later it will all work out. God always has a way of knowing what you truly need and want.

I also foolishly believe that I can do both. So here’s to continuing to be a delusional artist and mom.

Cheers,

Anna
